Gum Treatment

Your oral health depends on two factors: your willingness to brush and floss regularly and your commitment to seeing your dentist every six months for an oral exam and professional teeth cleaning. You may wonder why you need to visit the dental professional so often if you are taking great care of your teeth and gums on your own, but even the most diligent patients can miss hard-to-reach areas of the mouth and leave themselves vulnerable to tooth decay and periodontal disease. Your six-month oral exam will ensure that your dentist spots any problems early in their development, but professional teeth cleaning may prevent those oral health issues, the most devastating of which is periodontal disease all together.

Tooth Extraction is removal of a decayed tooth. It is done in cases when it is not possible to salvage the tooth by any other dental treatment.

Wisdom Tooth Extraction

Wisdom teeth are also referred as the third molars but they often cause problem during their eruption (breaking through the gum tissue). They may only erupt partially as there is less space in the jaw. Also they may be embedded completely in the jaw bone. They exert pressure on other teeth causing pain and hence have to be extracted. So if infected it is best to extract them. At Dental Careers LLC we perform surgical removal of teeth which is done by our oral surgeons .Surgical extractions are done to remove the teeth they are not easily accessible even if they are not yet fully erupted or still under the gum line.

A filling is a way to restore a tooth damaged by decay back to its normal function and shape. Materials used for fillings include porcelain, a composite resin (tooth-colored fillings), and an amalgam (an alloy of mercury, silver, copper, tin and sometimes zinc). At Dental Careers LLC our dental experts helps prevent further decay by closing off spaces where bacteria can enter with a ceramic filling.

Scaling removes the hard tartar which forms on your teeth like scale inside a kettle. You can’t remove it just by brushing your teeth. Scaling also removes trapped food and plaque containing millions of germs, which can cause tooth decay and gum disease. Stains from coffee, tea, cigarettes or red wine are also cleaned away when we polish your teeth.

Root canal treatment is the removal of the tooth pulp, a small thread like tissue in the centre of the tooth. Root canal treatment preserves a tooth and saves many teeth that would otherwise be lost. A properly done root canal with a cap can last for a lifetime. This procedure is painless as it is done under local anesthesia. At Dental Careers LLC we have highly experienced Root canal specialists who can perform the procedure in a single sitting. We have latest technology like rotary system and laser root canal treatment for this treatment providing our patients with best quality at an affordable cost.

Fluoride is a mineral which helps to prevent tooth decay in children. Fluoride strengthens teeth by aiding the mineralization on teeth . It prevents the formation of acid causing bacteria. Typically it is applied with a cotton swab or brush or placed in a tray that is held in the mouth for several minutes.

Dentures are prosthetic devices constructed to replace missing teeth. When a tooth or teeth are badly damaged they have to be extracted. If not replaced in time the adjacent teeth drift into the space leading to chewing problems. So it is essential to replace missing teeth.

Different types of Dentures.

1. Complete Dentures:

These are made when natural teeth are missing or removed. They can be conventional or immediate. Conventional dentures can be made about 8 to 12 weeks after the teeth have been extracted.

2. Immediate Dentures:

They are made in advance and can be placed as soon as the teeth are removed. Measurements are taken prior to the extractions to fabricate the dentures. As the bones and gums shrink during healing period after tooth extraction, they become loose and have to be replaced.

3. Implant supported Dentures:

Lower dentures are usually ill fitting because of the movements of the tongue and lips. Also in cases when the bone height/width is not enough, implant supported dentures are made. Implants are placed in the jaw bone and semi fixed dentures are made on them. (See section of dental implant)

4. Partial dentures:

When one or more teeth are missing partial dentures are made. They are removable and have to be removed at night and for cleaning. Usually a complete denture takes a minimum of 5 to 7 Visits.
